The meat of happiness
There is talk of blue marketing when you create a concept that doesn't focus on competition to be the best. The objective is not to "steal" customers and compete with those who offer the same product as you, but to create a new concept that attracts and satisfies needs that were hidden.
This is what it's about The Jiménez Barbero Estate, a concept with 5 years of life that was born from the passion of three brothers for livestock and things well done.
La Finca is a space dedicated to sustainable and responsible beef exploitation, something they achieve thanks to absolute control of the entire process from the birth of the cattle to retail sale.
Its success lies in 4 basic pillars that intertwine and serve as essential bases for everything to work correctly. These are the race, basic to have a good final product, feeding, an important pillar for livestock to feed in a healthy and balanced way, Health, vital to avoid deterioration of the meat and possible infection problems, and finally welfare, to ensure optimal living conditions for livestock in terms of space, comfort and environmental conditions.
At La Finca de Jiménez Barbero they carry out guided tours through the enclosure that we were able to do and see first-hand the entire production process of their livestock and why they call it 'the meat of happiness'.
At La Finca Jiménez Barbero they are betting on a sustainable livestock, where they take care of their product in every production process, from the careful selection of the food their cows receive to the final packaging that is sold in the store.
During the visit we were able to see the state of their cows and oxen, with More spaciousness than usual and a cleanliness not typical of this type of farm. Curiously, the place where the cows were kept did not smell bad and there were hardly any flies given the extreme cleanliness of the facilities.
We also visited the cutting room and finally We were able to see some of the finished products, which are the ones we can find in the points of sale where they offer their product.
To finish, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the menu in the small restaurant they have on the same premises.
The first surprise we had was finding craft beer from La Virgen, who accompanied us throughout the meal. Already on the menu we find the famous meat of happiness and some salad that is good to accompany. For the most indecisive like us, they have a tasting menu (€55) in which we could test steak tartare, sweetbreads, stewed snout, entrecôte and finally dessert.
The quality of the meat is outstanding, for its texture, its way of preparation and above all its flavor. Without a doubt it is one of the best meats I have ever tasted and together with the visit we were able to enjoy a true top-notch dining experience.
In short, La Finca de Jiménez Barbero not only sells the product, it sells the experience of knowing first-hand how Things done well lead to superior quality products, and allows you to taste them in a quiet and isolated environment.
